Cam moved to Brookings in 1973 after graduating from Washington State University with a degree in Environmental Science. He retired from the City of Brookings in 2011 after having served for 31 years as an emergency service dispatcher. Cam served for more than 20 years as a member of the Curry County Citizen Review Board, reviewing cases of children in out-of-home placements for the Oregon Department of Justice. He has been a hospice patient volunteer since 2002. His commitment to hospice is further represented by serving on the Board of Directors for Coastal Home Health and Hospice. He has been a member of Curry County Search and Rescue for many years. He is currently also on the board of directors for Curry Wildfire Prevention. He likes to garden on his half acre of property near Brookings, ride his motorcycle, kayak, and hike. Cam believes that patient care should be the primary focus of Coastal Home Health & Hospice. Therefore he works along side the the board to work diligently to ensure that our staff continue to have the tools they need to serve our patients and their family.
