Coastal Gives Back: Supporting Our Community Beyond Healthcare
At Coastal Home Health & Hospice, our commitment to the well-being of Curry County residents extends far beyond our day-to-day healthcare services. While we take pride in providing comfort and care to individuals in need, we also recognize the importance of collaborating with other local nonprofits to address broader community challenges. This spirit of partnership allows us to make an even more significant impact on the lives of those we serve.
In recent weeks, our dedicated staff has embarked on a heartwarming initiative to support the Brookings Harbor Food Bank. Through their generous contributions, we've amassed an impressive collection of food, hygiene supplies, vitamins, and other essential items. To date, our efforts have resulted in over 114 pounds of supplies donated, with more contributions still coming in. This outpouring of support from our team demonstrates their deep commitment to the community we all call home.
The Brookings Harbor Food Bank plays a crucial role in our local support network, particularly for our elderly population. Every Thursday, they provide vital assistance to approximately 50-60 elderly individuals, a service that relies heavily on the generosity of community members like you and organizations like ours. By partnering with the food bank, we're able to extend our reach and help ensure that some of our most vulnerable neighbors have access to the resources they need to thrive.
We believe that community service is a collective effort, and we invite you to join us in supporting the Brookings Harbor Food Bank. If you're looking for ways to make a meaningful contribution, consider donating some of the items that are currently in highest demand:
Vitamins
Adult briefs
Ensure nutritional supplements
Hygiene wipes
Baby wipes
Your donations of these items can make a significant difference in the lives of those facing food insecurity and other challenges in our community.
In addition to physical donations, the food bank also welcomes financial contributions, which allow them to purchase supplies in bulk and address specific needs as they arise. For those who prefer to give their time, volunteer opportunities are always available. Volunteers are the lifeblood of organizations like the food bank, and your presence can be just as valuable as material donations.
At Coastal Home Health & Hospice, we're proud to be part of a community that comes together to support one another. Our partnership with the Brookings Harbor Food Bank is just one example of how we strive to create a network of care that extends beyond medical needs. We encourage you to learn more about the food bank's important work and explore ways you can get involved.
